Swim Workout Guidelines
We swim on Monday nights at the Sacred Heart pool (the gym, not the main campus) at 406 E 91st St between 1st and York Avenues. We have six lanes all to ourselves so we can accommodate a wide range of skill levels.
For more information on our multisport program in general, see the main multisport page.
Info & Requirements
You must be a member of FRNY
You must sign up in advance. The sign-up link is sent out every Wednesday morning in our multisport email. If you are a current member but are not receiving the email, email multisport@frny.org to be added to the list.
You must be comfortable swimming 50 yards (one lap down and back) with your face in the water, including in the deep end
Your first swim is free, as long as you sign an insurance waiver (the waiver is part of the sign-up form).
When you come to your first swim, please be sure to bring goggles, a swim cap, a towel, and a lock for the locker. That’s all you’ll need (other than a swimsuit!)
After your first swim, you’ll need to purchase a virtual punch card and be a member of US Masters Swimming for insurance purposes
Punch Cards
Virtual punch cards are available in five- and ten-swim increments and can be purchased here.
If you could use assistance in affording the coached swim program, training costs are eligible for partial reimbursement via our participation fund.

Cancellation Policy
In order to give enough notice to swimmers on the waitlist, there is a deadline to cancel your attendance at practice. Cancellations have to be sent to multisport@frny.org by 10am on the day of the swim at the latest. For cancellations after this time, you will still be charged for attendance that week.
Wait List & Late Sign-ups
Swimmers on the wait-list will be notified via email by 4pm that day if there's an available spot in the pool. Sign-ups will be allowed until noon the day of the swim.
