Thursday workouts focus on shorter distance intervals and/or sprinting. Locations vary and may include Riverbank State Park, Central Park, East River Track, McCarren Park Track or Prospect Park in Brooklyn, or the Armory Track in Washington Heights.
On specified Thursday evenings during winter, FRNY offers interval workouts at the Armory Track. Coach Mike and Coach Jen will work with members to customize workouts and help members take full advantage of the training season. The Armory charges a fee to work out there, but FRNY usually subsidizes the cost to reduce the fee that members pay. We want all members to be able to participate in club activities regardless of financial ability, so we offer a Participation Fund to members who would otherwise be unable to participate.
