News Release: FRNY Announces 2026 Name and Logo Updates

The Countdown To Pride Is On – And With It, A Change For Our Race

With general race registration opening for the 2026 Pride Run this evening, we’re thrilled to introduce an exciting evolution to our race, as we help move Pride forward together.

We’re excited to share that our race will formally be named the Front Runners New York LGBTQ+ Pride Run™ in 2026 and beyond. This change reflects a long overdue shift in terminology to add the “Q+” to our name, and the commitment to our ideals that as a community, we are stronger when we come together. The Progress flag in our updated logo points us in the direction forward, as does this update. 

We can’t wait to be part of it with you by our side. Whether we are sprinting, jogging, or walking, every step we take adds to our momentum - and our pride is strongest when we unite together. 

We hope you will join us again on June 27 to fill Central Park with the hopeful energy of a community that knows we are unstoppable when we move together.
