Important notice about event registration: Please sign up for your chosen individual events at the time of registration. You can add/drop events at the meet, but it makes things easier if you choose in advance. Registration for relays is only available at the meet. Relay team members all must register and pay individually. On meet-day, pick up a team registration sheet from the clerking table, fill it out, and return it.
Check in procedures:
Doors open at 1:00PM for the meet.
Pre-registered runners: report to the third floor registration table (near the New Balance Store) to pick up a wristband, which indicates that your payment has been received.
Day-of registration runners: make payment, receive wristband, and fill in a registration card at the registration table to select events.
When the event is called (approximately 30 minutes prior to event start), report to the clerking area and the officials will assign you into a heat and give you hip numbers.
FRNY Track Meet FAQs
What is a SMR - Sprint Medley Relay?
A Sprint Medley Relay (SMR) is a four-person relay in which each athlete on the team runs a different distance around the track. The order of distances is traditionally 200 m, 200 m, 400 m and 800 m for a total course distance of 1600 m (8 laps). The SMR is an exciting opportunity to bring short-distance track athletes in on the same event!
Is the meet sanctioned by USATF?
Yes. The meet is USATF sanctioned, but you do not need to be a USATF member to participate in the meet.
What is the order for each race?
Women will run before men in every event, with heats from fastest to slowest.
Can I wear track spikes?
You are allowed to wear up to ¼ inch pyramid spikes or ¼ inch Christmas trees. This will be enforced by Armory staff prior to racing.
Is there going to be FAT Timing?
Yes. All events are fully automatic timed.
Is there a locker room to change clothes?
No, but bathrooms are located on the second floor and third floor of the Armory and can be used to change clothing.
