FRNY Multisport provides coaching and training for Front Runners that compete in triathlons, duathlons and other multisport events. Our workouts are also excellent for members looking to cross train or recover from injury. We organize year-round cycling and swimming workouts for a wide variety of speed and ability levels. Additionally, we’re eager to help new members develop training plans, acquire gear, and build a racing schedule. Our team targets several races every summer, including the Jersey Pride sprint triathlon in Asbury Park, NJ. Multisport also hosts a variety of training trips and seminars through out the year. Co-chairs Rachel Cutler and Mike Terry are both USAT Level 1 triathlon coaches.

Swimming Workouts
Coach Kent Lau leads regular Monday evening swim workouts at 8:00pm the Long Island City YMCA. There is a $5.00 per-practice fee for pool access. Members are asked to bring a swimming cap, goggles, lock, and towel. We recommend that members be able to comfortably swim at least 50 continuous yards to participate in the swim workouts.
Cycling Workouts
During the winter months, we organize indoor spin classes and computrainer workouts. In summertime, join us for Thursday morning rides around Central Park. Email multisport@frny.org to join our mailing list and learn more about these workouts.
